Intuitive massage is a combination of Swedish broad stroke massage, deep tissue work, acupressure, release work, and permission asking. The massage can be strong and invigorating or gentle and relaxing depending on the needs of the client. This model of massage encourages body awareness and the clients' capacity to discover their "bodily felt feelings" and the innate wisdom contained in their physical/energetic structures.

Each session begins with a consultation to learn which areas of the body are problematic or painful and whether there are correlative emotional issues the client is aware of. We also discuss chronic areas of tension and weakness and ways of alleviating this such as stretching, exercises, and postural modifications.

The massage centers around the specific areas of concern, although there is an attempt to include all parts desired. My expertise is in discovering the "tight spots", helping the client connect with the feelings held there, then releasing them through breath, sound, and deep relaxation.

I specialize in "spiritual passes", this is a clearing of the etheric layers of the body and balancing the energetic centers to bring the whole body into harmonious alignment.

I have worked as an independent massage therapist since 1980. I am not licensed. Massage sessions are generally 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours long. I work on a sliding scale of $50 to $100 per session. No one refused on a financial basis, trade available.
